Gavin is a partner with Cox Palmer, an Atlantic Canadian law firm. Based in Halifax, Gavin is a member of the firms business law group where he advises business of all sizes with start-up, initial financing and sale by providing commercial, corporate governance and strategic advice. A recognized leader in the field of insolvency and restructuring law, Gavin has acted for chartered banks, private lenders and court officers in proceedings before all levels of Court in Nova Scotia. Since being called to the bar in 2002, and as a partner since 2010, Gavin has exclusively practiced with Cox Palmer. Gavin is presently a member of the firms Halifax Executive Committee overseeing operations in Nova Scotia. Active in the community, Gavin completed a term as Chair of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce in 2020-2021 during which he helped lead the Chambers Covid response to support businesses in the Halifax region.
