Based in Moncton New Brunswick, David Adams is the Senior Vice President, Insurance Business for Medavie Blue Cross. In his role, David is responsible client attraction and as well for providing leadership to Medavie Blue Cross’ Business Development, Client Service, Underwriting and Product & Marketing portfolios aligning with the organizations goals of improving the wellbeing of Canadians. Prior to joining Medavie Blue Cross, David spent 20 years of his career in the oil and gas and transportation industries, in various leadership roles with both Irving Oil and CN Rail. Working with talented teams over his 25+ career David has both led and participated in large scale Business Development and Financial process improvement initiatives. David has also gained extensive experience leading business performance through teams both locally and nationally, always with a view to improving the economic impacts on Atlantic Canada. David is a member of the Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) Association of New Brunswick. 

David has served as a board member of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick and the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton, and is the current Governor of the Moncton Flyers U18 Hockey team. 

David was raised in Campbellton, New Brunswick and now lives in Moncton with his wife Paulette. They have two children, Andrew and Kerrigan.
