Featured Industry Panel Webinar

Industry Panel - May 31, 2022, 10-11am AT

Bottlenecks in Construction: How Do We Break Through?

Major project activity is strong, and the construction sector is busy, but several factors are impacting productivity.  This includes the pandemic, supply chain issues and labour availability. What can we do to accelerate the pace of construction and improve the productivity of the sector?

The pandemic is (hopefully) winding down, but the latest Omicron wave caused significant delays on projects due to worker availability.  Labour availability is also being impacted by the mobile nature of the workforce and an aging population. Supply chain issues are a serious problem as material deliveries are unpredictable causing a cascading effect on planning and productivity.

How does the sector break though these bottlenecks?  Our industry panel will discuss possible solutions including:

  • worker retention strategies
  • developing the underrepresented workforce
  • technology solutions
  • diversification of supply chains
